La suerte del Reino Unido en los últimos años en el Festival de Eurovisión es más que probable que a partir de la noche del 14 de mayo dé un giro completo. Blue es el nombre del grupo que está sembrando por toda Europa su música (también estuvieron en España como invitados en las galas de preselección). La canción que llevarán sobre el escenario “I Can” (Yo puedo), está dirigida a todos aquellos que aunque piensen que todo está perdido, no hay que darlo por imposible, principalmente a ellos mismos y a sus ganas de triunfar. También piensan que su canción podría encajar a la perfección si hubiera una especie de Copa Mundial de Canciones.
La canción ha sido viajera, ha recorrido el globo arriba y abajo en sesiones de grabaciones entre Londres y Noruega. Lee, Simon, Duncan y Antony serán los encargados de darle forma final tras un duro viaje de más de seis años que los han mantenido separados musicalmente. Duncan y Antony dedicados a los musicales mientras que Lee y Simon grababan sus primeros discos en solitario.
Entre los años 2001 y 2004, Blue era el grupo de pop británico que encajaba en toda Europa. 40 números 1 y más de 13 millones de discos vendidos.
