Fans of The Vampire Diaries‘ Damon/Elena and Stefan/Elena, brace yourselves: Both the current couple and the erstwhile pair are looking at bumpy roads ahead.
After finding out that versions of Stefan and Elena have been drawn to each other over the centuries, Damon made it clear that he wasn’t going to allow the universe to get in the way of his romance with the Whitmore college freshman. But that’s easier said than done.

“It’s the elephant in the room,” describes Nina Dobrev during a TVLine visit to the show’s Atlanta set. “When you’re in a relationship and there’s an ex-boyfriend around, the significant other is always like, ‘Hmm, I wonder…’ There’s always that insecurity. They might say that it’s OK, but it’s in the back of their mind. It’s the same thing with Elena and Damon. He’s pretending to be OK with it, but he can’t unthink and unknow what he heard and what he knows now.”
Having that little destiny nugget tucked away in Damon’s mind “will always cause tension in their relationship moving forward,” continues the actress.
“Relationships are hard in life. Relationships are really hard in Mystic Falls,” adds Ian Somerhalder. “If you don’t have conflict, you have no drama; and if you have no drama, you have no TV show. So relationships don’t last that long in Mystic Falls, unless, clearly, you’re a freakin’ doppelganger and the universe draws you two together.”

Damon might be secretly concerned about his girlfriend’s pull to her ex/his brother, but the question remains: Does Stefan even want to be with Elena right now? “I think their love has faded,” admits Paul Wesley. “It’s dissipated.”
The universe, though, might have other plans. “It’s kind of like when you go to a fortune teller and they tell you, ‘You’re going to end up with this person.’ And you’re like, ‘Really?’ And you can’t help but in the back of your mind think that the fortune teller might be correct,” Wesley says of the intel about Stelena’s decades-spanning romance. “It’s one of those things, even though you don’t really see yourself with that person.”
As the younger Salvatore’s mindset changes – “Right now, Stefan’s taking some time to himself. He’s 160 years old, so maybe he’s kind of over relationships?” muses Wesley – his connection with big bro Damon has taken a turn, too, to a place where “five seasons in, it’s not really contentious at this point anymore.”
Oddly enough, the historically at-odds brothers aren’t even battling over Elena’s affections anymore, adds Wesley. “[Maybe] a little bit, but not really… That triangle is, to be honest, a bit on the backburner right now.”
Will all that change now that Stefan has his memories back? It actually seems unlikely that the vamp will be drawn back to his old love just because he remembers her. “There would have been more of a shot of them getting in the sack if he didn’t have his memories,” says Wesley with a laugh. “That’s usually how it works. ‘Let’s forget about everything that’s happened. Let’s get busy.’”
Meanwhile, there’s another factor complicating this already messy romantic triangle: Katherine, who has “lingering love for one of the brothers that we learn more about as episodes progress,” reveals Dobrev. “She does love one of the brothers. Almost like Elena has chosen, Katherine has chosen and we see that unfold.”
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.

The shocking reveals were a-plenty in last Thursday (Nov. 7) night's "The Vampire Diaries." Stefan got his memories back. Amara is the anchor for Tessa's spell keeping the Other Side intact. Amara's alive, and went straight for the cure even though it was running through Silas' veins. And all that was just in the last five minutes of the episode.
In the wake of all the dramatic game-changing events that went down in "Handle With Care," one huge fact wasn't made all that clear, and left viewers wondering: What on earth happened to Silas now that Amara drained him of the cure? Is he alive, dead, cured, mortal, immortal, or something else entirely?
Zap2it went straight to the "TVD" boss herself, executive producer Caroline Dries, while visiting the set in Atlanta to get some answers. "I feel like people were a little confused by that. But remember what happened with Katherine," Dries tells Zap2it. "Silas ingested the cure from her and now she's aging."
Dries says the problem Katherine is currently dealing with will now happen to Silas, and everything shifts over one person. "That's going to happen now that Amara drank the cure. She's now mortal, and he's now immortal but dying," Dries says. "She just needed to be able to kill herself. It's a very uplifting show. The CW was like, 'Um, we get what you're doing here but you have a number of characters trying to kill themselves. Just be careful.'"
Silas' portrayer, Paul Wesley, was able to shed some more light on the kind of confusing matter. "He was immortal, and then he had the cure in him, but now he can't die," Wesley tells Zap2it. "All he wants to do is die, so he's pissed off and he's going to wreak some havoc. In fact, there's a scene in the next episode which is my favorite scene that I've shot as Silas. It's just really funny, fun, diabolical, and really just well-shot and well-written."
As for how Silas is going to deal with his one true love Amara literally stabbing him in the back in order to drink the cure as soon as she was awakened, Wesley says that we shouldn't assume Silas will seek revenge. "I think he's going to look for a way to be at peace with Amara," Wesley teases.
So Silas is alive, once again can't die, but will be aging. Does that clear up your confusion, "TVD" fans?

Ian esta diciendo que su relación con Elena va a acabar?...Y el stelena se va a dar porque el destino lo ha querido asi?...Vete a la soberana M..... Plec....En serio...Porque eso quieren dar a entender ¿no?...que Elena aun tiene guardado ese amor por Stefan en algún lado y finge estar todo bien con Damon...Es asi o me he hecho un lio soberano con la traducción de google?...Si es asi esas insinuaciones me voy a cabrear soberanamente. Espero que Kat tenga algo que decir..

Executive producer Julie Plec is really happy with how Elena and Damon are handling the "universe" trying to break them up. "I think the beautiful thing about Damon and Elena right now is in spite of what everyone is saying to them, whether it's in the form of the universe or other people's two cents about it, they're like, 'Hey, look, we know how we feel about each other and we're going to stick to that. We're not going to let some prophecy or whatever affect the way that we view our relationship,'" Plec says. "They're going to have to fight pretty hard to keep that up, but they're going to give it their best shot."

El 5x06 no ha sido más que un mero capítulo de transición. No han dicho/hecho nada relevante o que no supiésemos ya. Un capítulo no demasiado flojo, pero tampoco muy interesante.
Katherine me ha dado mucha pena, la forma de tratar a Nadie lo ha hecho por miedo, porque sabe que le queda poco de vida y no quiera cogerle cariño para después perderla. En ese sentido es muy parecida a Damon, prefiere quedar como la mala de la peli antes que contar la verdad que haría más daño aún.
Bonnie está otra vez viva?? En serio, no entiendo por qué es tan importante para ellos traerla a ella a la vida y a Ric o Jenna no... Vale que necesiten una bruja en el grupo, pero es que Bonnie es muy pesadita, ¿eh? Ahora con el rollo de ser el ancla al Otro Lado lo va a pasar pero que muy mal.
